Microsoft Retires Release Waves For One AI At Work Roadmap
Microsoft said on August 25, 2026 that Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Dataverse roadmap content is joining the AI at Work roadmap, and that the twice-yearly release wave model is being retired. Everything below comes from Microsoft's own announcement.

Microsoft is retiring its twice-yearly release waves. Today it says one always-on roadmap replaces them.
Starting September 2026, Microsoft says Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Dataverse roadmap content joins the AI at Work roadmap. New capabilities publish as soon as plans are committed.
Microsoft says there is no September 2026 release wave two plan. Roadmap items with preview or availability dates from June 1 move by November 15, when Release Planner retires.
Microsoft says you can filter by product, export to CSV, subscribe by RSS, and query an MCP server. Message Center and Microsoft Learn are not changing.
