AMD and Anthropic just announced a two gigawatt GPU partnership with a strategic investment of up to five billion dollars.
AMD and Anthropic announced a strategic partnership today to deploy up to two gigawatts of AMD Instinct MI450 Series GPUs inside AMD Helios rackscale systems.
The first gigawatt begins deployment in the first half of 2027, using MI455X GPUs, EPYC Venice CPUs, Pensando networking, and ROCm software.
Anthropic will train and serve Claude on AMD hardware at gigawatt scale, and AMD teams will use Claude across engineering and product development.
AMD is also making a strategic equity investment of up to five billion dollars in Anthropic as part of this partnership.
