Apple just announced M6 and M5 Ultra today, two chips built for on device AI.
M6 debuts in the new Mac mini, and M5 Ultra in the new Mac Studio. M6 is Apple's first two nanometer chip. It advances every compute block.
M6 adds a Dual sixteen core Neural Engine, up to twice the compute of previous generations. Its twelve core GPU has nearly thirty percent more AI compute than M5.
M5 Ultra is Apple's first quad die chip. Up to five hundred twelve gigabytes of unified memory lets it run models with hundreds of billions of parameters on device.
