AWS announced on August 20, 2026 that it is launching Student Rewards on AWS Builder Center, a program for verified university students. Amazon describes it as a commitment of more than $500 million in resources to support university students globally with the training, tools, and certification they need to start building careers in cloud and AI. AWS is launching Student Rewards for university students. Amazon calls it more than five hundred million dollars in resources.
Students eighteen and older verify enrollment through SheerID and complete a profile. They receive twelve months of premium Skill Builder, over nine hundred courses, labs, and exam prep.
Badges come from publishing articles and commenting. Seven earn ten dollars in credits, fourteen earn twenty, twenty one earn an exam voucher. Student groups run in over sixty countries.
This is Amazon's own announcement about its own products. The five hundred million dollars is resources, not cash. The full five hundred seventy nine dollars requires earning badges.
