Gemini Spark Can Now Browse the Web Inside Chrome

Google has connected Gemini Spark directly to Chrome. The new capability is called Chrome auto browse, and it lets Spark work inside the browser you are already signed in to. With your permission, Spark can use your logged-in accounts and saved passwords to handle tedious web errands. Google's own two examples are scheduling viewings for apartments you have saved, and researching flight options and starting the booking process.

Google is connecting Gemini Spark directly to Chrome today, so it can complete web tasks inside your own browser.

Spark can schedule viewings for apartments you saved, or research flights and start a booking. Google AI Pro subscribers in over one hundred sixty more countries gain access.

Spark uses your logged in accounts and saved passwords, but only with your permission. Google says it protects against threats like prompt injection.

Chrome auto browse is available in the United States first. Other regions are only planned. Google says payments and other sensitive actions are handed back to you.
