Google published a post on its own blog on August 26, 2026 listing seven ways students can use Gemini inside Google Workspace this semester. It is a how-to guide for features that already exist, not an announcement of anything new. Everything below comes from that post.

Google published a back to school guide today showing seven ways to use Gemini in Workspace.
Google says Sheets canvas turns a spreadsheet into a semester planner app. Gemini in Docs converts notes into study guides and test questions.
Google says Deck Generation in Slides turns a syllabus or paper into a presentation. Gemini in Forms builds quizzes with graded answer keys.
Google says Gemini in Meet writes action items and a transcript into a Doc, including in-person discussions. Gmail's AI Inbox shows to-dos and key topics.
These need a Google AI Pro or Ultra plan. Plus covers only AI Inbox and Vids. AI Inbox needs a participating region and up to seven days.
