Today at the Hot Chips twenty twenty six conference, Intel outlined three new chip architectures for agentic AI.
Intel is presenting three complementary architectures. Diamond Rapids handles high performance orchestration. Crescent Island is a GPU for efficient inference. Wildcat Lake is a system on chip for edge computing.
Diamond Rapids is the next generation Xeon with up to two hundred fifty six cores. Crescent Island is an air cooled GPU with four hundred eighty gigabytes of memory.
Wildcat Lake launched as Intel Core Series three processors. It has a neural processing unit delivering up to seventeen tops. Intel says agentic AI spans cloud, enterprise and edge.
