Microsoft says seventy percent of its emissions come from suppliers as AI demand strains global energy grids.
Microsoft recently held its second annual Global Sustainability Supplier Summit in Seoul. More than one hundred suppliers, partners, and policymakers attended.
The company runs five hundred data center campuses across eighty regions. Microsoft matched one hundred percent of its electricity with renewables and signed deals for forty gigawatts of clean power.
Its Circular Centers reach a ninety two percent reuse rate. South Korea introduced legislation easing solar distance rules, potentially unlocking sites across hundreds of municipalities.
