- We're also bringing the full power of Word, Excel and PowerPoint to Copilot with Office in Copilot. From Home you can ask Copilot to draft a launch brief, model a budget, build a deck, or pick up a file your team is already working on, and it creates or updates a real, editable document, workbook or presentation.(Microsoft (blogs.microsoft.com), first party announcement titled "Introducing the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot" by Jared Spataro, published September 25, 2026, read from the alert time snapshot captured 2026-09-25T12:12:21Z.)
- Describe an app, tracker, dashboard, automation or workflow in natural language, and Copilot chooses an approach and builds it.(Microsoft (blogs.microsoft.com), first party announcement titled "Introducing the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot" by Jared Spataro, published September 25, 2026, read from the alert time snapshot captured 2026-09-25T12:12:21Z.)
- Powered by the same underlying technology as GitHub Copilot, Code runs in a sandboxed environment and can be hosted securely within your tenant. Code is rolling out to Frontier at the end of the month, with broad availability in the coming weeks. It will be in preview for Microsoft 365 Premium and Pro subscribers later this year.(Microsoft (blogs.microsoft.com), first party announcement titled "Introducing the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot" by Jared Spataro, published September 25, 2026, read from the alert time snapshot captured 2026-09-25T12:12:21Z.)
- Autopilot, previously called Scout, is your digital teammate. Give it a name, a role and a goal, and it goes to work, watching channels, following up on threads, running recurring work and picking a project back up days later, without waiting for a prompt.(Microsoft (blogs.microsoft.com), first party announcement titled "Introducing the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot" by Jared Spataro, published September 25, 2026, read from the alert time snapshot captured 2026-09-25T12:12:21Z.)
- And Autopilot is cloud-hosted, so it keeps working while you sleep or your attention is elsewhere. Autopilot lives in your tenant with its own identity, memory, computer and workspace.(Microsoft (blogs.microsoft.com), first party announcement titled "Introducing the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot" by Jared Spataro, published September 25, 2026, read from the alert time snapshot captured 2026-09-25T12:12:21Z.)
- Usage-based billing (UBB) lets you have full control to choose models and match cost to value. Cowork, Code, and Autopilot, new long-running agentic capabilities, and frontier models like Astra and Fable all run on UBB. As AI capabilities and the ways people use them continue to evolve, we're evolving Copilot pricing alongside them. No pricing figures are stated anywhere in the announcement.(Microsoft (blogs.microsoft.com), first party announcement titled "Introducing the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot" by Jared Spataro, published September 25, 2026, read from the alert time snapshot captured 2026-09-25T12:12:21Z.)
- Verified absence. The announcement contains no pricing figures for the new usage-based billing, no user or customer numbers, no benchmark or performance results, and no firm general-availability dates for Home, Code or Autopilot. Availability is stated only as staged previews: Home and Code start rolling out in the Frontier program in the coming weeks, Code reaches Frontier at the end of the month with preview for Microsoft 365 Premium and Pro subscribers later this year, Autopilot expands to private preview at the end of the month, Copilot Managed Runtime is now in preview, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform grounding rolls out over the next month in public preview, Today enters private preview in October, and @Copilot in Teams reaches private preview in Teams by the end of the month. The only capability stated as available now is Fabric IQ grounding for Chat and Cowork, which is generally available in both today. Every statement is Microsoft describing its own product, with no third-party verification cited; the transcript pull returned zero of five, so no video corroboration was available.(Microsoft (blogs.microsoft.com), first party announcement titled "Introducing the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot" by Jared Spataro, published September 25, 2026, read from the alert time snapshot captured 2026-09-25T12:12:21Z.)
