Google and Missouri Announce Statewide AI Training Partnership
Google published a post on its own blog titled "Missouri and Google partner on AI and career training", by Drew Sidel, North America Lead for Google Workspace and AI for Education, dated September 8, 2026. Everything below comes from that post.
Transcript
Google announced a statewide AI and career training partnership with Missouri today.
The partnership will provide nearly one hundred thousand educators and more than one point one million Missouri students with no cost Google AI tools and training.
Those are eligible counts, not users. Adoption is voluntary. Each district, college, and university decides if and when to use them.
Google cites research that AI can save educators up to ten hours a week. That figure is not from this program. No timeline is given.
Google says Gemini for Education data is private and not used to train its AI models. Missouri residents can take Career Certificates at no cost through local Job Centers.
