NVIDIA Says Its Synthetic Video Detector Now Hits 99.3% Accuracy
NVIDIA announced a major expansion to NVIDIA AI for Media on September 9, 2026, timed to the IBC 2026 conference running September 11 to 14 in Amsterdam. AI for Media is its collection of GPU accelerated SDKs, NIM microservices, playbooks and blueprints for media workflows.

NVIDIA says its synthetic video detector now reaches ninety nine point three percent accuracy.
NVIDIA announced the expansion at the I B C show in Amsterdam. Image to video accuracy reached ninety seven point seven percent.
Ross Video is adding frame generation to its Rio Replay platform for six times slow motion replay, with eight times interpolation under development.
In NVIDIA's early testing, fine tuning on sports footage raised multiple choice accuracy from about fifty three percent to ninety four percent.
NVIDIA published this itself before a show it exhibits at. The figures are self reported without an outside audit, some partner products ship later, and NVIDIA sells the hardware.

Every claim in this video comes from the top ranking coverage of this topic. The claims and where each one came from:
- Since its initial release, SVD's accuracy has reached 99.3% for text-to-video content and 97.7% for image-to-video content, with especially large gains on difficult image-to-video cases.(NVIDIA's official announcement, "NVIDIA Brings Real-Time AI to Broadcast, Sports and Global Streaming at IBC", published September 9, 2026)
- At the IBC conference, running Sept. 11-14 in Amsterdam, the creative, technology and business communities are coming together to turn ideas into action and discuss innovations across the media and entertainment industries.(NVIDIA's official announcement, "NVIDIA Brings Real-Time AI to Broadcast, Sports and Global Streaming at IBC", published September 9, 2026)
- Ross Video is integrating VFG into its Rio Replay platform to create AI-assisted slow-motion video for sports production.(NVIDIA's official announcement, "NVIDIA Brings Real-Time AI to Broadcast, Sports and Global Streaming at IBC", published September 9, 2026)
- The work supports 6x slow-motion generation for sports replay. Development is underway toward 8x interpolation, meaning generated intermediate frames can give replay teams smoother motion without requiring every frame to be captured by an ultrahigh-frame-rate source camera.(NVIDIA's official announcement, "NVIDIA Brings Real-Time AI to Broadcast, Sports and Global Streaming at IBC", published September 9, 2026)
- When evaluated on previously unseen footage using question formats similar to those used in training, multiple-choice accuracy increased from approximately 53% to 94% and open-ended evaluation from approximately 5.7% to 66%.(NVIDIA's official announcement, "NVIDIA Brings Real-Time AI to Broadcast, Sports and Global Streaming at IBC", published September 9, 2026)
- TwelveLabs announced the general availability of Compliance by TwelveLabs, its first application built on the company's video intelligence platform, helping media and broadcast teams rapidly screen content against regional and custom compliance standards.(NVIDIA's official announcement, "NVIDIA Brings Real-Time AI to Broadcast, Sports and Global Streaming at IBC", published September 9, 2026)
- Wowza, whose Wowza Streaming Engine media server technology powers more than 35,000 video deployments across over 170 countries, will distribute SVD through the Wowza Video Intelligence Framework.(NVIDIA's official announcement, "NVIDIA Brings Real-Time AI to Broadcast, Sports and Global Streaming at IBC", published September 9, 2026)
- Honesty caveat: this is NVIDIA's own trade show announcement, published on its corporate blog two days before the IBC 2026 show it is exhibiting at, so the show itself has not started yet. The detector accuracy figures of 99.3% and 97.7%, the TrueHDR figure of approximately 2,000 nits, and the Sports Intelligence Playbooks fine-tuning results of roughly 53% to 94% multiple-choice and 5.7% to 66% open-ended are all NVIDIA's own reported testing, and the article cites no independent audit or third party verification of any of them. Several partner integrations are described in future or in-progress tense rather than as shipping today: Wowza will distribute the Synthetic Video Detector, Dalet is integrating it, Ross Video is integrating Video Frame Generation, and 8x interpolation is still under development. The one clearly stated availability is Compliance by TwelveLabs, which the article says is generally available. NVIDIA also sells the GPUs, SDKs and NIM microservices that all of this software runs on, so it has a direct commercial interest in these results looking strong.(NVIDIA's official announcement, "NVIDIA Brings Real-Time AI to Broadcast, Sports and Global Streaming at IBC", published September 9, 2026)
